2nd
day
- ANDOK VALLEY is a great place for a short walk due to its
great scenery. Andok Valley is acknowledged to be the most
beautiful valley on Jeju Island. We will walk through the
cool climate valley whilst rocky cliffs are enveloped around
you and Camelia trees and jorok trees shade you as you go.
- DRAGON HEAD COAST (Yongmori).
These interesting layered sandstone rocks which resemble the
head of a dragon entering the water are open for visitors
in low tide. The layered effect is caused by the blowing wind
and erosion.
- Jeju's unknown fame is for its art and pottery and at the
CLAY POTTERY WORKSHOP you will learn about Clay pottery distinct
to Jeju. A local Jeju potter makes pottery using no glaze
and only burning the pottery once a year in a lava rock kiln,
which produces a darker colour. It is only made like this
on Jeju Island.
- LUNCH in a Korean restaurant.
- ISLET ADVENTURE. There are
15 islets around Jeju and 42 islets between the Korean mainland
and Jeju. We will go to a small Uninhabited Islet during low
tide. It is called Bird's Islet - there are many birds in
the forest part of this islet along with a combination of
tall trees covered with evergreen vines and also wild jungle
and lava fields. This Islet is labeled as a UNESCO Biosphere
Reserve.
- YAKCHONSA
TEMPLE. The Largest Buddhist Temple of Zen Buddhism in
Asia with a beautiful location on the seaside. |

a beautiful seaside drive you will come across a pile
of stones of all shapes and sizes. These stones hold
an intersting past to the defence lines of Jeju's past.
These stone pillars were set up as a wall to defend
from Japanese and Chinese pirates. Whilst at the wall
you also have the opportunity to add your own special
touch by adding a stone to the top and you will be granted
good luck.
- LUNCH in a Korean restaurant.
- FOLK VILLAGE. If you're looking to go back in time
and see how the Koreans lived years ago then Seongeub

here today. Traditional houses made of stone with thatched
roofs, barnyards and sometimes even the local pig can

buy some of the traditional drinks. Songeub was designated
as National Folk Material No. 188.
